Privacy Policy
Clerki is in pre-launch. We collect the minimum amount of personal information needed to operate the waitlist and notify you when the product is ready. This page tells you exactly what we collect, why, and what control you have.
What we collect
If you join the waitlist, we collect:
- Your email address.
- Standard server-side information (IP address, browser type, timestamp), retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
We do not collect names, payment details, brokerage credentials, or trading data during the waitlist period. We will only request additional information from you when (and if) the product launches and you choose to create an account.
How we use it
- Waitlist notifications — one email when Clerki launches; occasional pre-launch updates (max ~1/month).
- Service operation — preventing spam, abuse, and unauthorized access.
We do not use your email for unrelated marketing, third-party promotions, or behavioral profiling.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only with vetted infrastructure providers (email delivery, hosting, analytics) bound by data-processing agreements. A current list is available on request.
Cookies and analytics
We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate page traffic. No third-party advertising cookies are set. We do not use cookies that require consent under GDPR/ePrivacy. If this changes, we will display a cookie consent banner before any such cookies are set.
Retention
We keep your waitlist email until (a) the product launches and you convert into an account, (b) you ask us to delete it, or (c) the waitlist program is discontinued. After the waitlist program ends, emails are deleted within 30 days unless you have a separate account.
Your rights
You can at any time:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Ask us to delete your record.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Unsubscribe from updates with a single click in any email we send.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@clerki.org. We respond within 7 days.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored encrypted at rest. We are a small team and follow industry-standard practices, but no system is perfectly secure. In the unlikely event of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you within 72 hours.
Children
Clerki is intended for adults engaged in trading activity. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we update this policy in a way that materially affects how we handle your data, we will email everyone on the waitlist and post a notice on the landing page before the change takes effect.
